Description

Over Armor is a fast-paced, top-down fighting game that blends the chaotic energy of Super Smash Bros with the tactical combat of Halo. Over Armor creates thrilling, party-style action while maintaining depth for competitive players.
Features different gamemodes, including classics like Slayer, Hill King

Base Gameplay and Abilities

All players have the same set of three core tools: Shooting, Melee, and Bombs. These tools are equally effective, essentially creating a rock paper scissors dynamic.

Weapon Sandbox

Over Armor incentivizes map movement and facilitates moments of excitement through an outside item sandbox. The idea harkens back to arena shooters, where each player has an even start, and the advantage can be found by navigating the map and controlling power positions. Each item is different, and each gives the player a unique advantage.

Dynamic Map Features

Almost all of the strategy in Over Armor is meant to be external. You’re moving around the map with purpose, towards deliberate goals. Part of that is creating maps that allow the player to change the layout for strategic purposes, inconveniencing or killing other players.

Different Gamemodes

Over Armor features some of the classic arena shooter gamemodes: capture the flag, king of the hill, and traditional slayer. My personal favorite, and the one that I've generally received the best outcomes from, is king of the hill.
